A legacy of engineering

Platform 1 was founded on the belief that Canadian businesses deserved modern, engineered racking solutions. What began as a local operation has evolved into a national leader through innovation, strategic partnerships, and a relentless focus on solving complex industrial challenges.

2004

Founded as Logiflo Process Corp by Mike Wigle and Gerry Harte

2005

Partnered with Gonvarri (Esmena), a global leader in rack-supported buildings

2007

Rebranded as Racking Direct, serving clients like Hopewell Logistics, Kraft, and Jarden Consumer Solutions

2012

Launched Trigger Point Services, focused on inspection and compliance, with clients including GM and Staples

2016

Acquired Rack-King Ltd., founded by Sal Monaco, the first Redi-Rack upright ever produced in Canada

2019

Unified all entities under Restack Holdings

2023

Formalized partnership with Gonvarri Constructor Group, launching our Automation Division

2025

Welcomed new CEO Marcus von Reden to lead Platform 1 into its next chapter

Through our acquisition of Rack-King Ltd., Platform 1 became part of the Redi-Rack legacy, the first adjustable frame-and-beam pallet racking system in the world. Redi-Rack was originally founded as Dexion Canada, which later became part of the Constructor Group, a connection that continues today through our partnership with Gonvarri Constructor.

Through our partnership with Constructor, Platform 1 clients benefit from world-class engineering, manufacturing, and automation capabilities, right here in North America.

Our strategic alliance with Constructor brings together decades of racking innovation and automation expertise — giving our clients access to smarter, more scalable solutions for the future of industrial storage.

Our leadership team

Marcus von Reden – CEO

Marcus brings over a decade of executive leadership in strategy, operations, business development, and post-merger integration. He has led large-scale manufacturing projects, including a $40M greenfield facility in Canada, and previously served as President & CEO of Hörmann North America. Marcus holds an International MBA from IE Business School in Madrid and a BSc in Business & Management from PFH University of Applied Sciences.

Fluent in German and English, with additional studies in the UK and Netherlands, he’s known for his strategic thinking, hands-on leadership, and commitment to building high-performing teams. Marcus is curious by nature and passionate about every detail of the business. He’s a sounding board for his leadership team, values ownership, and fosters a culture of care and performance.

Michael Wigle – Co-Founder & CIO

Michael’s background in operations and client service helped shape Platform 1’s full-service delivery model. His focus on customer experience and scalable solutions continues to influence how the company builds long-term partnerships.

Gerry Harte – Co-Founder & CCO

Gerry co-founded Platform 1 with a vision to modernize industrial racking in Canada. With deep experience in engineering and compliance, he played a key role in launching Trigger Point Services and expanding the company’s inspection and safety capabilities.

Glendi Kulla – Senior Operations Manager

Glendi brings over a decade of experience scaling industrial automation and construction businesses across North America and Europe. They lead end-to-end programs for large capital projects, aligning design, procurement, and installation with precision. Known for building high-performance teams and driving significant growth, Glendi turns complex challenges into predictable, customer-focused solutions through transparency, live dashboards, and streamlined execution.
